Feng Shouhua, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and an inorganic chemist, was born on March 14, 1956 in Panshi City, Jilin Province. He is a member of the 93 Society, and holds academic and social positions including Director of the Academic Committee of Jilin University, Chairman of the Jilin Provincial Association for Science and Technology, and Chairman of the Jilin Chemical Society. He also served as President of the 3rd International Society for Solvothermal and Hydrothermal Chemistry.
In 1986, Feng Shouhua earned his doctoral degree from Jilin University. From 1989 to 1992, he conducted postdoctoral research at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, USA. He was promoted to Professor at Jilin University in 1992 and appointed Doctoral Supervisor in 1993. He was elected an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2005 and joined the 93 Society in 2006. In December 2009, he took office as Chairman of the Degree Evaluation Committee of Jilin University. In November 2011, he became Director of the Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory of Functional Inorganic Material Chemistry, Ministry of Education at Heilongjiang University.
Feng Shouhua has long been engaged in research on inorganic synthesis and materials chemistry.
